Auto Scaling

RCB includes a fully automated Spectral Analysis with Auto Scaling. The Spectral procedure consists of six steps executed in sequence. The Spectral Scaling uses a proprietary interactive algorithm when stiffness reduction factors based on AS3600, Table 6.2.4, are applied.

Note that when Table 6.2.4 is used, Spectral Scaling cannot be performed manually with single factors. It must be done iteratively in several steps until the selected tolerance is reached. RCB performs these iterations automatically.

Automatic stiffness reduction factors for columns and walls

Once the six-step procedure is completed successfully, all Spectral results become available, and the internal forces in columns and walls can be used in the same way as for any other loading case.
